On Saturday we had the pleasure of spending the day at the Mountford Hall inside Liverpool University’s Guild of Students, enjoying some top quality dancing from teams up and down the country with genres ranging from tap, ballet, contemporary, street dance and many more.

We rigged up a static wide shot of the stage positioned just in front of the judges’ table and a second camera at the side of the stage for close-ups and the ability to pan into the crowd as they showed their support with rapturous applause. The two cameras were mixed along with a mix of sound from the venue and streamed live to YouTube.

All in all, a very simple setup that just goes to show how you can still create a great experience for a remote audience even on a very modest budget!
